You have a clear idea of how you want your gala to run; you simply need me to come in and execute in a high energy and knowledgeable way. At a May 2024 gala in NYC, the live auction and pledge raised nearly $4.5M with this model.
2 - Collaborative
I’m available to discuss any elements of the program, and can work as a consultant prior to the event to strategize best gala practices.
3 - Build From Scratch
I’m involved in thinking through and crafting everything from the run of show and seating to videos and speeches. I schedule calls with key donors to see the work from their perspective, and help prime the pump for giving in the room.

PADDLE RAISE
Fund-a-need
Lot 1 also provides auctioneers for organizations who have only a direct pledge, sometimes called a “fund-a-need” or “paddle raise.” Like auctioneering, squeezing bids from a paddle raise requires a dedicated professional, and Lot 1 can ensure that there’s no money left on the table.
We often hear from clients that they “don’t have any good auction items.” We disagree. The mission of your organization is often the most important “lot” and when effectively put into a gala setting can generate “bids” far more effectively than a standard lot.
